Dussehra

                        My daughter was more excited to go and see the 3 effigies burn after I narrated the story of Ramayana to her the previous evening. She slept only after I promised to take her to see the ‘Ravaan Podi’ the next day. This time, the Puja pandals were decorated exquisitely than before. For instance, the pandal of Rasulgarh replicated the magnificent Tejo Mahalaya of Agra, while the pandal of Bomikhal replicated the Brihaspatiyaan-1, with such perfection that would make many architects awe. The fire crackers stuffed inside the effigies were eco-friendly and scarce in number, given the new regulatory standards of the Pollution Control Board.
